The Weather Vane Gift Shop

Jane Tremaine has owned and operated the Weather Vane gift shop for 40 years. The midwestern store is attached to her hill-top home in rural Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. It might be little, but it is brimming with unique products and has become a quintessential headquarters for all things handcrafted from Germany and other parts of the world. Known for its extensive selection of German items, the gift shop also features collectibles from:

Weather Vane offerings have customers coming back year after year because of Jane’s great eye for curios. She and her husband travel the globe building relationships with artisans and workshop owners in order to fill store shelves with hard-to-find gifts. Jane is an expert at locating and stocking elusive collectibles. In fact, she has sold limited edition Wendt & Kuhn figurines to German buyers who couldn’t find them in Germany!

The Weather Vane gift shop is open year round and a gem of a place. Not from the area? No problem. You can find all of the German items online. From the south take Hwy 67 north of Oconomowoc, WI and follow our signs.
